I sewed this outfit for the Summer Spark Sew-Along 2012 challenge.
They´re quick garments to sew and I enjoyed making them. I think that I´m going to use this outfit many times in my summer holidays!

Hi! Lovely shirt, I am attempting to make it from linen and I was wondering a) how difficult was the gathering step described in the instructions? B) do the rectangular neck, arm and waist bands need to have a seam allowance added or are they good to go at 3cm wide? and c) How exactly are the bands sewn? To the wrong side? I don’t get how they are sewn on…Let me know! I am worried about ending up with too little material to make it work!

Hi there!
a) The gathering is a simple step but first you´ve to learn it with a video or something (I found this tutorial in youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JnicOFlzt14 )
b) The seam allowance: follow the instructions. In my case in the spanish version, you´ve to add the seam allowance.
c) I don´t know what you´re talking about… the bias binding? If you want to know, how ending your edges, see this tutorial: http://www.coletterie.com/tutorials-tips-tricks/facing-or-detail-bias-binding
Thanks for your comment!!!
