For the past few months I have spent most my free time preparing my lovely cousin’s wedding. Being her bridesmaid I wanted to give my everything to make their big day special. And one of the things I did was sewing our bridesmaids’ dresses.
I chose Sewaholic’s Cambie pattern as the base for the upper part. The lower part of the dresses I then drafted according to my own and my cousin’s (the other bridesmaid) wishes. We found this beautiful lace to be used in the back. I think this detail made these dresses perfect for winter time. And I also added pearl buttons as a small detail. Loved this!
You know how it is always hard to be a girl without a handkerchief at a wedding. While standing next to the happy couple during the ceremony we could not have our purses to hold this much needed item. Therefore I added practical but invisible pockets to the left side of the hem. This was perfect – and much needed :)
While being a woman who likes every outfit to be perfect, I also made a nice bag to hold my shoes and a cute little make up bag slash purse.
I have to say this was the most perfect and beautiful wedding I have ever attended :) We had such a great time and we bridesmaids really enjoyed our lovely dresses.
