This outfit is part of my debut Tango & James fashion collection… the a twist… every piece is conceived from re-claimed materials and are one-of-a-kind items.
The pink bolero was made from a puff sleeved pointy collared 70’s secretary blouse. I re-cut the sleeves to remove the volume at the sleeve cap, and shortened them to 3/4 length. The addition of a beautiful vintage applique gives the piece some more dimension.
The strapless top underneath was made from a frightening button through mens nightclubbing shirt – complete with embroidered dragon on the pocket. I wanted to use the fabric in an elegant way – and show off it’s sheen. The centre front was pleated down onto a strip of denim.
The tutu skirt is made with fabric sourced from a garage sale!
