This dress is based on a collette pattern (Macaron) that you can get on www.collettepatterns.com. I love their patterns and I couldn’t wait to make one for myself using my fabulous geometric Ikat cotton that I bought in India.

This is the best version of a Collette pattern I’ve ever seen! Inspired fabric combo. Did you have to alter it the pattern much? Also do you have a blog somewhere?

Thanks :-) I love this fabric too! It’s a while ago that I made this, but I think the sizing was quite ‘generous’. I used size 36 and I remember I had to take it in a lot around the waist. I may also have taken a bit of volume out of the skirt.
I don’t blog :-)

I loove your version of the Macaron pattern- I really want to try it! Did you omit the pleats in the skirt to get a more slim-fitting skirt?

Thanks :-) I think I kept the pleats, but I took it in on the sides a little so that it would have less of an A-line shape.
