DOUBLE VEST WITH LINING

Position the lining onto the vest, right sides facing and side seams meeting. Position the armhole edges, back neckline edges, and front and bottom edges together. Stitch. Enclose the collar. Trim allowances, snip in the curves and cut he corners. Turn the vest inside out. (a)

SHOULDER SEAMS

Position the front and back pieces together, right sides facing. Stitch shoulder seams (seam number 6). Bias cut the allowances at the corners. Push the allowances inside and press apart. (b)

Position the edges of the lining piece along the shoulder seam line together (seam number 7). Sew by hand. Pin all vest edges and press. ©

Position the side edges of the back lining pieces on the back princess seams. Stitch by hand. Work BUTTON HOLES into the right front piece. Sew BUTTONS onto the center front of the left front piece. (d)
