I had 2 metres of this fabric gifted to me. I think it’s home decor fabric, but I liked it and wanted to make my last project before the unofficial end of the Canadian Summer, on Labour day :S.
I refused to use a pattern, and decided I would cut a dress straight on the fabric. After many hours and lots of fabric wastage and patching of mistakes (I think i am in denial about my hip measurement) I came up with a top with an elastic empire waist, which I really like and find very comfortable. I have to fix the neckline a bit, but the top is totally wearable.
Home decor fabric, 1/4 inch elastic
