Ahhhhh I finally learnt how to sew a decent zipper fly! Thanks to this pattern from the Japanese Female magazine I was asking Nahoko about :-)
Sewed a size M but took it in a bit, and changed the waistband to a thin one (a fiddly process I shall never repeat again). Overall it turned out okay I guess. My aim with this pattern was to learn how to assemble trouser pattern pieces together (a challenge made even more challenging when one can’t read a single Japanese word lol). I do however really like the crotch curve on this pattern! :-)
For the button I used a tiny gold-colored button I found in an old haberdashery. Glad I can wear these capris either tucked in or not.

I’ve ordered the magazine from ebay. I tried to order from the publisher but it was too difficult with japanese site and google translator :) I wish they would release the winter issue soon! (Or have they already, couldn’t find it on ebay.)

Ohh that’s cool! I love Japanese sewing and craft magazines.. they photograph each step so clearly, which I’m thankful for since I can’t read a word of it… hehe

I love these pants. They look great on you! I wonder if they would be flattering for a pair-shaped figure like mine…

Thank you Keren! I’m a pear shape as well, so I understand what you mean too! Usually pear shaped people are told to stay away from pleats at waist-hip area right? But I think if we wear heels to makes ourselves look longer it should be ok.. I can’t wear this trousers without heels because I will probably look like a saggy sack of potatoes.. hehehehe

Your trousers are really chic! And I like the japanese magazine Female although I can’t read it as well :) That reminds me, maybe I should order the summer issue… Even though it costs a fortune to order it to Finland :)

Thank you itetein, glad I’m not the only one heehe! Do you order it directly from the publisher? I notice it’s not always in stock at the bookstore that I go to—either they always run out of stock or it’s not a permanent publication on their stock.. :-/

Hi! It kinda looks like synthetic gabardine, or some other sort of suiting fabric that’s not too heavy.. thanks for the compliment! :D
