As my sewing machine was being repaired, I was forced to use my creative energy on yarn! I like to knit but always thought I liked sewing better and thus I am a far less experienced knitter than I am a sewer.
Anyway, during my forced period of sewing abstinence, I started knitting like crazy – I may like knitting even better than sewing at the moment – and finished several projects, for example this linen top.
The pattern used is a very simple one from the LanaGrossa Filati 40 magazine
The yarn is 100% linen which was very easy to work with. The seams (bottom, neckline, cuffs) are finished with a crocheted crabstitch, which was also useful because the top turned out somewhat too short (it probably works better with a highwaisted pair of pants).
I hope y’all don’t mind some knitting projects now and then! As Liliv said, it may inspire you to include knitting in your creative adventures too…. I am, however, not sure this is the correct forum for knitted stuff ’cause the Burda Style member project definition says: We are a community that emphasizes the handmade journey of sewing
Well… let me know what you think; I can always remove the project again.
