This is a long story dress. I made it a year ago, I didn’t like it. So I put it in my fabric pile to cut into something new. This year at Christmas I had a party and my hubby suggested that I should use the dress. After finding it in the fabric pile and fixing some details, I wore it to the party.
This is my first night dress ever. I used no pattern but my imagination. I have to say that the top was very hard to make. It was impossible to make it stay up. Also I didn’t buy any fabrics for the dress. The top part was some fabric I had left from some old project. The lining inside it’s made of black cotton I also had. And the skirt part it’s a silk; I fell in love with 3 years ago in my trip to Venezuela.
I am very happy how it came out at the end. The dress in fact got lots of compliments at the party.
Note: I was supposed to wear black heals, but I hurt my foot and had to use the boots.
Also I didn’t take a picture of the back so had to find one that somebody took while I danced.
And last For a fashion class I took last year I had to draw a figurine; so I did the dress pretending to be in the cover of a magazine.
Cotton, Silk, I don't know the top.
