As winter has started with quite heavy rain falls and snow as well, it is time to gear up with some good bicycler’s clothing. This time – shoe covers.
Some suggestions if you are trying to make your own version:
- the material should be water-repellent and a little bit elastic, I have used an apron from worker’s clothing shop
- the most important here is to build and fit the pattern for feet part, so the covers do not come off the shoe
- the snaps I hammered in the material after stiffening it a bit with criss-cross stitching so that snaps are not coming out of material as it is flexible
- the top and bottom is lined with elastic thread
