Last August I purchased Anna Sui wool twill fabric for my birthday after I envisioned me wearing this long wool coat in Burdastyle December 2012 issue. I had several projects to complete before I could start making this coat. Finally I had it come into reality after working on it for a few weeks. I eliminated shoulder tabs and piping as this pattern recommended. I added shoulder pads and horse hair canvas to stiffen the collar and notch; side pockets; black snap-on buttons on the notch; 5 black buttons on each lower sleeve. I thought the white stripe lining would make a nice contrast for sense of nautical style.
Anna Sui Navy Wool Twill, synthetic lining, 4 snap-on buttons, 10 regular buttons, and horse hair canvas
