I made this dress 18 months ago for my trip to London, but all the photos of it are on my friend’s camera and I’ve given up hope that he’ll ever bother sending them to me. So, these photos are NOT in London, but in my backyard, and are taken by pambox.
The pattern is Butterick 5522, which was probably beyond my skill at the time. The dress itself was easy, but those sleeves were very difficult. They’re not really very good, but they’re OK. The shape of the dress also doesn’t really suit my shape. I have big hips, and so these straight or A-line styles tend to be baggy around the chest and tight around the hips. With a belt or tie, though, I’m quite happy with the dress.
The fabric is some random stretch something from my local fabric store. It was a long time ago, and I forget what it was.
