I draped this dress for myself for New Year’s
Used charmeuse for the top and satin to line the inside in complementary color. I used a cotton blend for the lower part. Also used a 9 inch invisible zipper and two appliques( that are actually intended to don headbands). I didn’t dart the bodice because of the look I wanted for this piece. The fabric has a flowing water (running water colors) look and I crinkled the fabric to accentuate that along the back. The back of this dress is the WOW! factor I wanted. I used French seams.
