The outfit is so beautiful! Definitely avoids the cosplay attribute a lot of lolita outfits are victims of, stunning! I wish I had it.

is there anything under the skirt to make it hold its shape outwards, or is that just the way the fabric falls?

yes i made the fabric buttons as well (which is very addictive… beware ahah once you start making some you’ll make tons of buttons =)
