If you have a couple of hours on your hands and some rests of fabrics, this is the perfect project for you. The princess seams are ideal to get a perfect fit, since you can just try it on and adjust it once you have the main bodice assembled. The blouse doesn’t have separate sleeves but an extension that works like a cap sleeve, which saves a lot of time and hassle.

not a comment…a question. Is there any reason why this could not be made in a lightweight wool or even a quilted fabric to wear as a vest?

Whatever, Burda is one of the leading publishing firms in Europe. This site is a ploy to open up their English-speaking markets in UK and the US. I applaud them for the site, and have long subscribed to their magazine Burda World of Fashion. However, it is important to realize that in buying patterns we are not ‘supporting’ a struggling indy site, but participating in a huge marketing survey to understand how sewers use the web.

We all know what we can get for paying a little more but the idea is to support the site. The free patterns are wonderful and they only ecourage me to pay for the others.

cute! pity it’s not free. ok 2,50 is no big deal, it’s more about the priniciple – open source and all that. on the other hand for double the price I can get a decent pattern with paper included (no messing with tape), so…
