This is my brand new “little red” dress. It´s based on the Hope Wrap Dress by erdronen. I thought of making a red dress and found some jersey with this fantastic red color (and lilac too, so the second dress will follow). A wrap dress pattern was just the right one. So thank you, erdronen, you´ve made my day. The sewing took actually two days, mainly because the fabric was a little transparent so I had to buy some more and make two layers.
So the dress is lined with the second layer of jersey. That´s also why I didn´t used bias tape, only for the ties. The pattern is great and very easy. I made it a little bigger (it´s 34 in original) and let out the sleeves since I wanted a summer dress. You can wear the shoulder part in two different ways. Since I used the second layer for lining there´s nearly no visible stiching. Also because I used some miraculous tape for the bottom – no idea how you call it in english – which I didn´t know before. You just need to iron it on the edge of the fabric and than fold and iron again – no need for stiching. Just great! I just hope it will hold :)
