This little jacket was very quick and easy to make. It has a self-faced collar and button facing, but I improvised a facings of my own so that I could use a contrasting fabric I liked as a lining.
I had the buttons specially-made at a place called Buttonmania, and it wasn’t even that expensive, under $10 for four and I think they really are worth it, the finish is much more professional.
I am going to make another, but I’ll use a heavier weight of fabric. I want to make one in wool, I think maybe it’d look good in snow white :o)
Red polyester crepe from Spotlight, printed cotton lining from Patchwork on Central Park.

A very sophisticated jacket. The buttons make it look so professional. Did you use a pattern? It would look beautiful in a heavier wool, and keep you warm in chilly Melbourne weather!
