This is Vogue 8723. And is labelled ‘Very Easy’. This, I disagree with, a lot.
Now, I have been sewing since I was old enough to use the ‘good scissors’ at Grandma’s house, and this pattern had me stumped. STUMPED! The bodice was fine, the actual skirt was fine, but it took FOUR attempts to gather the skirt and attach it to the bodice! If I was new at sewing, the lack of direction in the instructions for this part would put me right off. Or maybe I’m just completely dopey (the latter is always possible).
It turned out really cute though, so all the trouble is now fine with me! I think I’ll make it in black next. I figured out a way around the gathering by pinning the bodice to the skirt and THEN gathering.
Fully lined with white poplin :)
