This project is from Simplicity 3673. It is a really comfortable fit. I used buttons from a civil war era dress that I got from my mom via my aunt. For me, they really make the dress. They have funny little men on them. I believe the buttons perhaps come from India, originally. Has anyone seen buttons similar to these? I have 5 more that I didn’t use on the dress. I made a size 16 with no alterations, just added the buttons sewn on by hand. The zipper isn’t perfect, but I am okay with it.
Antique buttons, suede type material. It can have a bit of static cling to it.
