The dress was made with cotton. I made this before I made the blue dress. This would be one of the dresses she would wear when she visits her grandparents in a few weeks time.
Anyways, instead of gathering the skirt to the bodice, I decided to do pleats instead. I don’t think darts would work on a baby much. They are kinda round and waistless.
You won’t notice the pleats in the back but the front is pretty much noticeable. I made a panel? with a different material so to make it like a peek-a-boo thing going on.
And yes, instead of button, I put a zip on this dress and let it exposed instead of hiding it. To be honest, I actually don’t sew normal zipper well. I can sew on the invisible zip with ease. Go figures.
