I ordered this fabric forever ago to make coasters as a gift, but the print was too big for that so it went into the stash. This month’s burda had sooooo many things I want to attempt. I decided to begin with 4/2013 #126. It is made with eyelet in mag, but I thought it was a fun shift shape as a dress. and I thought it would be the perfect way to showcase this fun print. I didn’t have enough for the ruffles on sleeves and hem as in mag, so I bought this crocheted lacey trim/edging. I think it works! The pattern is very simple and comes together fast.
This was my first time with “set in” sleeves. And I must admit I sewed it in wrong side out and had to make nice with my seam ripper and go again… but other than that this went GREAT!
fabric unknown sort of taffeta feelling brushed on one side shinier on other, edging, thread, bias trim
