Description

After making my first test bra, I braved the waters and cut into my nice fabric and lace! Eek! I’ve made an underwire bra, bikini brief, and thongs, that all match! Yay!     Hey thanks everyone! None of them were particularly difficult to make – the bottoms especially came together really quick and I only used the sewing machine for all three (didn’t touch my serger at all!). I wrote up some tips on FehrTrade.com (I wish I could make links up above, argh!) for applying the leg and waist elastic.

    The bra wasn’t difficult, either, but there are a lot of steps involved so you’ll want a very good pattern with detailed instructions. I’m not that big a fan of KwikSew patterns overall, but credit where credit’s de – this pattern is FANTASTIC. This is only my second bra, the first was to test the fit and understand the construction. I extensively reviewed the pattern here. The bra also needs a bunch of little bits of haberdashery, which is why the bra kit was soooo useful as they give you everything you need to make one bra and two pairs of pants, in the correct colours and everything. :)

    And yes, all three are very comfortable!
