Nose dive #2… This dress is for me and I will definitey wear it. I am very happy with the fit and how it turned out. I nearly didn’t make it as it was a last minute rush.
I call this my Progressive Date Dress: first date all buttons done up. Second date maybe a little “peek a boob” and third date a bit (or lot) of leg and the open back. The opening flaps are covered with the embroidered organza, fully lined with voile, bias binding on the sleeves and delightful little silver buttons. it was very fiddly making this but I am so happy with how it fits and I have a date lined up already … with my Mum.
Embroidered organza and zin linen from Tessuti

i love this! especially because it makes the white (which i think can often be a bit boring) really interesting.

ah yes I understand not being your usual size! A little belt would be flattering with it! :) But it is pretty the way it is too! Hope I didn’t offend.

not at all :)

love the transformation pieces. I probably would have made it slightly more form fitting at the waist. It would help to give you a more curvy look ( like you mentioned about your friend in the other one). Very fun idea!

thanks.. I hardly have a waste! I am not curvy at all and I am slightly skinnier than I am normally and made it so it would fit me when I am at my usual weight.

Very pretty, very clever! I love this idea! You could use a coordinating print, contrasting color or whatever for the peek-a-boo parts! Great possibilities…
