Description
The jacket is based on a pattern #M1107 from a German magazine “My Image” 02/2011. This was a challenge for me – as well as the skirt, but I did like to make it :) I have used light grey linen with red top stitches as the skirt.

Great job! I can’t even dream to make anything with topstitching.. Both jacket and skirt suit you perfectly!

Very cool outfit, love the top stitching you did an awesome job. Have you tried to double up the top threads ? I use a top stitching needle with 2 regular threads. Just make sure the spools twirl opposite direction, one clock wise the other counter clockwise. You can use 3 different colored threads in one needle as well. I haven’t tried that yet.

Thanks a lot Zsuzso for good advice! I will for sure try this out – it must be much easier than the way I did… I have tried with thicker thread, but often it’s not so easy to handle.. Thank you once again ;-)

Great outfit on you; fit is perfect. I agree that top stitching takes a long time, but the results are worth it!

Thank you very much! I can tell it took a while because I didn’t have so thick thread, so I used the seam on the machine that moves back and forward, so it was like three times on the same stitches :)
