When I read about the MiniChallenge, I thought it was time no only following pattern instructions but doing alterations myself. So I decided to make a dress. I didn’t use a lining. I changed the parts of the pattern by adding a part for the top. (I did a how-to so you can see). I also did not use a zipper, so I widened the front and the back part. I also widened the hemline. To have a better fit I sew an elastic inside the waistline. I uses a black satin band to link the front with the back. At last I stitched on two pockets.
I’m proud of my first thing I made without strictly following instructions.

Delightful dress. The design is great, and the black with the bordeax is a great combination. Also the two textures work brilliantly together.
