My first project! I like it but will use a stiffer material in the future + maybe add some pockets and a place to hold my keys.
Coffee dyed linen, raw linen.
I Coffee dyed some linen so I wouldn’t get confused with the outer material and lining.

No need to use thicker fabric if you don’t want to. You can instead use fusible interfacing on the back and front panels as well as on the flap, and use cotton twill tape (carpet binding) inside the strap to give it strength and make it opaque. (Buy at least 54 inches of twill tape and wash/dry it on hot before using – it will shrink a lot!) The best interfacing to use is a medium fusible interfacing that comes in a 60-inch width. See my entry if you’re not sure how to get the twill tape safely inside the strap.
