Description

This super cute Cape is made out of maroon herringbone wool and lined with red herringbone. It has this great English country-living feel that makes you think of a walk in the woods. A creative transition piece from a light jacket to your big winter coat, this really can be worn in any season depending on your fabric choices.

BurdaStyle, your recent series of wardrobe basics are WONDERFUL. I covet them all. We are coming up to summer here but this cape would be perfect for cool nights.

I am currently working on a cape, this might help me with mine :)!! really cute. To keep the cape flowy you used silk as the lining, correct? could you use anything else to line it that would still let is lay right?

This is really nice! I never thought a cape could look this good. The ones I have seen havent been that attractive and put me off them buy I might even wear this one.

wow i just got a vintage pattern that is just like this. i like the fabric on this one. (the vintage pattern had it made out of yucky bright plaid patchwork and i was having trouble envisioning it in anything else)
