I found this great material that I thought would make a great skirt, then I saw the Linda pattern, which didn’t look too hard. It’s not perfect by any means, but I can wear it, and the mistakes are not apparent unless someone gets closer than they need to be! I didn’t understand all the directions, particularly the waistband part, but I am very new at this. I didn’t realize that I needed to iron out the invisible zipper either, but it zips and the color doesn’t stand out too badly. I also got lazy and machine stitched the hem, but I think it looks all right. I did shorten it a little bit, but I really like the pattern. It makes a great dancing skirt!

Oh, yeah, the stripes do the same thing on the back left, which makes the look even better, in my opinion.

Finally I remembered to have my husband take a picture of me while wearing the skirt! I didn’t intend a whole body picture, but oh well, hope it helps the stripes to be seen. At first I was disappointed that the stripes were to the side, but the more I wear it, the more I like it!

I’m curious how the stripes on the fabrics look when you wear the skirt! It turned out very nice! I like the button, too :)
