Madison, Wiscons...

My wedding gown: Vneck cut bodice w/a bias cut skirt and rushed sash.
I’ve included a couple pictures of the finished product as well as one of the original muslin “pattern” and one of the dress in progress.

Material Notes

Dupioni Silk (white); Bridal Lace

This is my first design without a pattern. I partially used a draping and partially trial and error to build the pattern, with a lot of tweeking of the final fit!

I bought all the fabric at JoAnns on sale and saved myself tons of money!

Pattern custom-designed and hand-made by me.

WOW! It looks great, very elegant! And I also think it’s extremely brave to do your wedding dress as your first creation without pattern, but you really pulled it of!

Wow, you’re brave, making your wedding dress your choice of first patternless outfit! It looks beautiful— great fit too. And I really love that you included a picture of the muslin—I enjoy seeing the process as well as the finished product!
