This is my second Truffle from Colette patterns. I wanted to use a fabric i hadnt tried before ,so this was my first time with velvet and lace . The only problems i had were with the zipper , i just ended up taking it out because the velvet was puckering so much .I added sleeves from another pattern , and made the flounce with the lace fabric to match . Im happy with this dress on the whole but I think the shape of the Truffle dress would probably be more flattering if it was in a stiffer fabric . Anyhoo , I wore it on xmas day which was nice and festive , and it came out again on New year so its a good party dress. And now i have a dress to wear with my vintage bow hat !
lilac velvet ,lilac lace,lining fabric
