My dress is a simple shift from a gorgeous vintage pattern by Weigels. The cotton linen material was given to me in a huge stash by a friend. The dress was really easy to make and I love wearing it in hot weather. Instead of facings, i used bias bindings to finish the sleeves and neck. I did use a facing on the hem which gives it a bit of strength. My daughters dress is self drafted bodice and a gathered rectangular piece for the long skirt out of the same material. You know how much I love to have curated outfits that match in some way. Sometimes the connection is a lot closer than others!
