This Skirt is a straight A-line, without darts. It is the most simple straight-forward pattern, and it doesn’t even have a waist-band. Just the front and back cut from the wool, and the same from lining, sewn together with an invisible zipper in the side seam. I cut the pattern from a summer skirt I had which was made from light cotton, but it works perfectly well here with the wool.
To create the ‘Lightning’ design, I took some angora wool and pinned it on, then tacked it in place with tiny stitches using lime green embroidery cotton. You can see the green stitches – they become part of the design, and the wool has ‘fluffed’ a little bit, which also adds to the design.
