I made this dress out of this pink fabric to wear to an event as October is being commemorated as Breast Cancer Awareness month. I suppose the cause because I want all women around the world to be freed from this deadly sickness.
I use May 2013 burdastyle dress #126. The style has a sheath look. If worn right it can look very sophisticated. It is very easy to make as it only has two pleats on the top both front and back and also two pleats on the skirt waist both front and back. The zipper is enclosed at the side.
I modified the original style by completely lining the dress and add cap sleeves. I could not get scallop lace trim to add the waist so I use one of my belts and sew a piece of white lace on it. I believe it really work out fine.
I loved everything about it and I felt very good that I played my part in supporting the cause.
