I made this dress a few summers ago with a light blue cotton broadcloth and some Ghanaian Kente cloth I picked up on my study abroad in Ghana back in 2007. I like the way it showcases the bright colors and geometric patterns of the kente cloth without being overwhelming.
The light blue fabric is a 100% cotton broadcloth. I sort of cobbled together two patterns for the top and bottom and modified them to fit in the waistband.
