I sewed a Sarah in a light fabric. I found it much warmer than it looked, probably because it holds air very well. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, a light and warm casual jacket.
Wool woven fabric, synthetic blend, net structure, with thin and delicate ribbons. Strip for hem binding was color matching wool jersey.

beautiful and lovely…and versatile, too! i made a sarah jacket recently and didn’t like it because it was too baggy, but i think because of the fabric you used, yours looks breezy and cool. i’m going to have to revisit mine…thank you for the inspiration!

When I saw the pattern, I didn’t think it was “me”, but after seeing your interpretation, I am reconsidering…Your jacket is so lovely! I wish I could find that fabric in my area.

So versatile. It looks equally good with either jeans or a dress. Enjoy!
