Description

This is the Seamwork Almada Robe pattern which I made up in a Liberty Belgravia silk satin print as a gift for a friend’s birthday. I really enjoyed this project even though it was lengthy because of the silk I had chosen and the french seam finish I used throughtout! The pattern is great, I love the kimono feel of the design and the finishing and construction is well thought out. I can’t wait to make my own! Splendid fabric print for your project. I stopped to comment because I can only see a few Liberty cottons at a quilt store in my general area. What a joy to sew for someone else! If you often sew silk satin, see if you can find the October 2015 issue of BurdaStyle-there’s an Oriental themed collection and you’d be able to use satin for a couple of garments. Or look for October 2015 tags on dresses, kimono jacket and separates in the Patterns section for purchase.
