Inspired by the 10-10-10 Amanda I made for my sister in addition to my recent trip to Paris and Melbourne’s eventual Spring, I took a deep breath and let the scissors at the Liberty! I picked up the Meadow E print at Entree des Fournisseurs in the Marais in Paris, which is a treasure trove of Liberty fabrics, buttons, ribbon and more.
This doesn’t fall as well as my previous effort, but it’s still lovely and soft and so perfect for Spring. Now I know what I’m doing I’d roll-hem the top of the neck frill for a nicer finish, but the instructions seemed a bit vague so I followed them to the letter. The customary 6 inches was added to the pattern to account for my height.
I should also note the project was inspired by FarahAJH’s Impressionist Amanda.

Hooray! I was hoping you would make the Liberty Amanda soon. It has turned out fantastic! How much fabric did it require… I might have a go at it myself :-) Well done and nice job! Sam xox

Thanks Sam! I had 1.5 metres of the fabric, but have just made a dress for my daughter from the leftovers, and have a pile of scraps. The pattern says 1.15m, I think. I made the size 40 and couldn’t promise, but 1m should do it.
