This dress was inspired by a dress I saw somewhere on the web.. I forgot where.. It was a shirt dress, made of sheer polka dot fabric, loosely fitted.. I used pattern for a shirt #103 from Burda 05/2012 as a bodice of my version of the dress.. I didn’t size down to 34, because I wanted to have a loose fit.. The skirt is gathered, and I added the pockets in the front.. It was a bit tricky sewing this slippery chiffon fabric, and I did it all with french seams.. I found the fabric in remnant box.. It had flaws on couple of places, where one row of polka dots is smaller than the others.. Most of it you can’t see because I managed to put it in a second layer of the skirt.. But on the upper front part of the skirt it is visible as a horizontal gray line..
Sewing chiffon makes me go crazy every time, so I always take a long break before working with it again.. This dress I sewed almost a year ago.. It’s time for a new adventure..
