Description

This polka dotted wrap dress is based on the Burda BLUMARINE pattern 139 (6/2011). I was wondering if I can sew this with my very basic skills and decided to use a very cheap 3,50 € fabric from the rummage table for the trial. It is my first self sewn wrap dress at all, also the first piece with sleeves ;-).
I slimmed the trompete sleves a little and did not add the collar.

What came out is a very screaming dress – and I am happy with it.

For the pictures I styled it with an even more screaming yellow bag, but it can also be worn more quiet with nude pumps and bag. Hope you like it too…

I’m also a member at Burda Germany, but I like Burda.com more since the website is more comfortable and beside that here’s more action ;-). Yes, I saw many of those dresses on the German page and like them a lot.

Thank you Philomenia! I like your very stylish version. I’m also thinking about sewing one in animal print.

Thank you. I modified my version a little bit. Are you member of Burda Germany, too? There are some more creations. All in animal print.

Another great Job!! Very neat, fits well, and my favorite is you have pressed the fabric, remember applying basic sewing skills results are usually quality or professional looking garments, very proud of you!!
