I made this dress using the wedding gown pattern 102 from burdastyle 3/2011 (relating this project to the pattern didn`t work). I shortened it a little and left out the huge bow in the back, because It would have been too much. I sewed it to wear it at the opera, that`s why I chose the title.
Orirginally the fabric was a curtain in the chinese room of an old house which family friends bought. It`s about 30-40 years old and is a little damaged what you can`t see that much (thank god).
