I had the perfect setting for this dress in my mind (going sailing, some boats and a lake in the background) … unfortunately, the weather crossed my plans for taking pictures on a nice lake in Austria (Wrthersee) to that I went over the easter holidays.
So now back home, I decided to take some indoor pics of the dress.
It is my take on the famous 122 Burda cover dress of issue 9/2010. I chose a navy colored romanit jersey for the base and added 1 stripe in some kind of off white (is that the right name?). I was not sure if i should put the cream colored stripe or leave it completely navy but at the end I think it was the right decision for me.
PS: The last pic shows you why I didn’t want to take the pictures there ;-)

Wow! I’m so impressed! I love it! At this point I should have bought the magazine! It’s always the same, I see the dresses in the magazine and think: No, that’s not what I am looking for. And then: I see what the users make of the patterns!

I didn’t buy this issue since at that time I havent started sewing, so I copied it from a lady who is joining my sewing class. I highly recommend this pattern.
