This dress was a birthday present for my sister.. She found on ModCloth a strapless dress she liked, and it was my job to make something similar.. First task was to find the fabric for it.. That’s usually not an easy thing to do when you have something on mind, but this time I was very lucky.. My first visit to the fabric store was successful, I found this lightweight cotton wit tinny flowers, almost identical to the one on ModCloth dress.. I saw that fabric in the store only that day, never again..
For bodice I used pattern #124 from Burda 01/2012.. At the front, I made vertical tucks, and sewed buttons.. Just a little decorative detail.. The bodice is without the boning.. At one point I added it, but Dina didn’t like how it feels on the body, so I pulled out boning.. The skirt is pleated, from dress #124 from Burda 05/2007 ..
