I started out perfecting a sweetheart bodice pattern that I worked on about 6-7 years ago. I liked the pattern so much I wanted to try it in different fabrics. For the past two days I have been lost in this project. With a cotton printed fabric from Walmart I had just enough to make this dress and allow for a few mistakes and fit adjustments along the way when draping it on the form. All i had to buy was some lining fabric and I prefer to use the china silk in poly with a slight crinkle texture. I still have to tack some lining on the inside and add a hook and eye. 2 yards of lining were used -mostly on the wrap skirt and about 2.5 yards of cotton fabric to built this dress in size small.
