This is a crochet toy which I have made for a friend’s xmas . I often make crochet toys as gifts for friends and relatives ,they always go down well. I got the inspiration for this lion from a flickr group from a crochet designer , but I changed it quite a bit . My favourite part is the crochet detail for the orange mane , I borrowed the idea from the flickr pic . It uses a repeated line of double crochet ,then treble crochet ,double ( i cant quite remember what i did but you just repeat it to make the little curves ) . I made up the tail idea , just sewed on lots of loops then cut them through . I never ended up making back legs ,but i like to think hes just chilling out , sitting oh his hunches lol
yellow wool , orange wool , medium thickness, wee bit of beige felt for muzzle, plastic eyes (i just glue them in with a mini glue gun – since its not for kids ) brown embroidery floss , wadding to fill inside .
