I made this dress using the Coffee Date Dress- multisize sample bodice. I had to add an inch to lengthen the bodice. I also lowered the back about 3 inches. Then to add volume to the skirt I added about 20 inches to the front panel and 2 additional back panels.
I changed the placement of the ruffle just slightly and added chocolate brown biased tape.
I fully lined the the bodice and skirt. Not sure how easy the pattern instructions are to follow as I just did my own thing with the pattern pieces.
I will style this dress with a wide brown belt, tights, and brown heeled oxfords (for fall) and skinny belt and espadrilles for Spring/Summer.
Waffle cotton in lemon yellow and lemon yellow cotton lining.
Brown biased tape
12" yellow zipper (since I lowered the bodice this was possible)
Hit the city streets in adventurous looks with utilitarian details like cargo pockets and belts.
Twists on feminine classics, like a bold patterned shift dress and pants with a racing stripe.
