Description

The left over collection was afrofashions first big success in Malawi. I collected fabric scraps and off-cuts and joined them together to form artistic patterns. This collection was one of the reasons why I was sent on a sponsored trip to the Berlin Fashion Week 2009.

Looks great. I’m big on using scraps & recycling old things that don’t fit any more. I guess you would have had to carefully plan which scraps you put together. I’m thinking this would work great with little girl dresses too, might give that a try!

Brilliant use of scraps, miss! Most economical of you… I love the clash of prints – looks great :)
