I love this bag! I had a pair of old leather pants stuck in my wardrobe for the last 8 years and I couldn’t bring myself to throw them out! I wanted to turn them into something I would use. I took the pants apart at the seams and I got inspiration from a bag I saw on the internet. This bag is my own design. It took about 8 hours to make. All the flowers and leaves on the front are individual pieces. I took the closing piece and the wristlet chain off an old bag I bought but never used. The bag is fully lined in leopard print satin. I love this bag as it’s a real unique piece and I know I’m not going to see anything like it on anyone else.
Leather, hardware, leopard print satin for the lining and black thread. I ironed heavyweight fusable interfacing to the leather to stiffen the bag and flatten the seams.

Inspiring! I haven’t worked with leather but made a smiliar bag last year in fabric. What machine did you use for the leather and did you use a special instrument for placing the hardware? Thanks for sharing. Great job!

I didn’t use any special machine just my Brother xl3600 that I always use. The Hardware stays in with screws so I just cut a small hole and screwed the closure it in place.
