Faux wrap dress with draped/flounced front made in a poly-lycra jersey from Vogue Pattern #8827. Vogue Patterns gave this an “easy” rating. I would give instead “somewhat easy, but time-consuming”.
This dress came from a “UFO” project. After the cut fabric pieces had been lying in an envelope for several months, I finally completed it!
The two large front pieces were faced in the same fabric (I would not recommend facing knits due to their drape which would make iron pressing a chore). The back yoke and its facing were somewhat tricky to position, pin, and stitch beneath the collar (whose center back seam is joined by extensions of the the left and front pieces).
I replaced the “ribbon” ties that secured the dress faux wrap look from the inside with buttons and elastic hoops.

This gorgeous dress looks absolutely perfect on you and one of the loveliest things you have made. You really suit this dress and you have made it so well. I love faux wrap dresses as they are so much easier to wear than a normal wrap dress. I don’t normally buy Vogue patterns but this one is really nice.
