I spilled some oily sauce down the front of one of my favorite dresses last summer, but I just couldn’t get rid of it. One day I had an idea to cover it with patches, so I bought some burnt orange faux suede and cut out little leaf shapes. I think it turned out well. There’s one little patch on the back, but my camera fizzled out…
Sewing the suede-like material onto stretchy jersey was tricky, but using a small zig-zag around the edges helped ease the bunching a little.
