My major work project for the final year of my costume course. We had $200 NZ dollars and $80 NZD of workroom stock to make our chosen garments ( i came in under the radar at 163.30 NZD and 50 NZD). I wanted to make a mid 18th century gown and did so!

These photo’s where taken in a professional photo shoot for an award winning NZ hair artist.

AMAZING! Congratulations! This must have taken you forever to finish… And I agree with CarotteSauvage – the rating system is stupid. Who would rate this anything less than a five?!?!

    Golly gobsmackers!

How long did it take you to make? Did you do the corset as well? Did you get an A+ for your course?

Second thing I noticed after seeing your dress was how fantastic the hairstyle was.

oh.. and shouldn’t you update your skill leel to "professional "now

Breathtaking. Looks so rich, I cant stand it. I assume you didnt have to hand sew it but even with the help of the sewing machine, I can only imagine the insane amount of work you had to do.

Straight from a picture by Fragonard or Poussin! Your pictures have something very painterly to them. It must have taken you ages let alone all the details etc… Just great!!
